End of an Era
Well it is officially over now. I was released in Stake Conference today as Stake Clerk. No more 6 am Thursday or Friday presidency meetings and no more Tuesday and Thursday evening meetings. No more driving to the Stake Center 3 or 4 times a week (only once a week for choir practice). After 16 years of stake callings, it will be a change to be back in the ward again. When I have been sustained, I can let you know what my new calling is.

Sounds like it was a long overdue change. I look forward to hearing what they will have you doing in the ward after being away that long.
Wow, Dad. I can hardly believe it. Will your new calling be much less demanding? When will you be sustained? Next week I guess? So many questions...
You have been an anchor to many stake presidencies serving faithfully and diligently. I hope you don't drive Suzanne nuts wandering around the house on those old meeting nights, wondering what to do with yourself. HA!
Well, I too will be anxious for a report on your new calling. Looks like they didn't waste any time finding you a job in the ward. I have been without a calling for so long I can hardly imagine having one. I am a visiting teacher, and thankful for that opportunity, but it has been over a year and a half since I had any other calling.
Well, that lessens your ties to San Antonio, at least a little maybe. I hope you don't suffer withdrawal and that you can enjoy your new calling. I'll also be anxiously waiting to see what it is.
